The blokes an animal. Got that real ruthless streak about him.

It takes a certain type of person to keep boxing with such ferocity after killing someone in a boxing ring.

Kovalev is a freak of nature.

Kovalev Golovkin is obviously the fight of dreams, but with the differences in size it probably could never happen. They're good mates too, apparently.

Mike,

At LHW, Stevenson is the only legitimate challenge left for him. Once thats done and dusted, the only real opponent around for him I can see is Ward down at 168, but whether or not thats a possibility given Wards faux retirement I'm not sure.

Beterbiev, another Russian killer than gave him a pasting in the amateurs, is one for the future.

kovalev is a throwback fighter, willing to fight anyone/anywhere. not sure there's many more opponents who can honestly give him a fight?

Can't wait til Kovalev bangs out Adonis 'the pimp' Stevenson.

Scumbag.

An amazing fighter. Has the power, but also the skills as he was using his jab so effectively to set up combinations.

Credit to Pascal...he took a beating but showed a lot of courage to stay in there and trade blows...but by the end it was target practice for Kovalev.

Really entertaining fight.

Also liked how in the post fight interviews, Hopkins mentioned that Adonis Stevenson came up to him and told him that he will be fighting Kovalev.

Hope that gets set up this year. With all due respect to Mayweather / PacMan, while that fight will easily be the most hyped of the year and maybe all time, it's taking place 5 years too late.

Stevenson / Kovalev is the two top light heavyweights in the biz going for all the titles. Stevenson (probably under Al Haymon's guidance has been avoiding the big fights...) while Kovalev just takes on the best contenders in the division...how can you not respect that?
